Who are we looking for?

The Recruiter will be responsible for hiring an average of 10 positions at a given time for various branch and back-office positions including but not limited to; Tellers, Member Service Representatives, Financial Service Representatives, branch management, lending sales and support, and other professional support roles. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the person in this this role will be a member of our 4 person HR team and will partner with and support hiring managers across all functions and locations.

As the main point of contact for all roles, you will be responsible for ensuring every applicant has an incredible candidate experience and every hiring manager learns from you and values you as an expert partner. You will act as a culture ambassador, partnering with the hiring managers to develop our hiring brand. By leveraging your knowledge of our organization and each team's hiring needs and search requirements, you will effectively match candidates with the roles in which they will be most successful.

 

Do you have a proven track record and are you able to successfully...

Candidate Sourcing:

  • Craft job postings that appeal to candidates, attract qualified candidates, and convey the message that UHCU is a great place to work
  • Be creative in utilizing different sourcing channels including social media, LinkedIn, professional organizations, colleges and universities.
  • Utilize an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to aggressively recruit and screen candidates
  • Administer on-line pre-employment assessments via assessment testing system
  • Effectively manage multiple open positions and candidates across all functions, full-cycle, with minimal direction

Relationship Building:

  • Be obsessive about a fantastic candidate experience; guide hiring managers and other interviewers to do the same
  • Develops trust and establishes credibility with Hiring Managers, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Serve as a resource to internal applicants regarding employment opportunities, the application process, and qualification criteria
  • Work strategically with Hiring Managers to make decisions and evaluate talent to ensure a "no compromise" hiring philosophy
  • Facilitate intake meetings with hiring managers in obtaining all talent acquisition forms and to gain a deep understanding of their teams, objectives, and talent profiles
  • Weekly follow up with Hiring Managers on recruitment efforts, insights, and solutions

Candidate Management:

  • Qualify candidates by conducting telephone and in-person interviews to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, salary requirements, and cultural fit
  • Build a pipeline of top talent through researching, sourcing and networking, including internal and external sources
  • Complete background checks and appropriate reference checks on candidates to ensure authenticity of stated skills and experience
  • Effectively negotiate and communicate offer to successful candidates

Legal Awareness and Best Practices:

  • Stay informed of relevant news in the Financial Services industry, recruitment trends, and innovative recruiting techniques
  • Promotes recruitment processes and practices that are legally compliant and defensible
  • Participates in educational opportunities and networks with industry peers

 

What you will need to succeed:

  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills are critical; being articulate and persuasive
  • The ability to build trust, maximize relationships, and interact with all levels, from hourly employees to senior management, is essential
  • Skilled at being self-motivated and working independently, but knowing when to ask questions or seek advice
  • Dedication to the role with a "get it done" attitude; drive for results
  • Strong planning, prioritization, organizational and time management skill, attention to detail and a high commitment to quality service are required
  • The ability to handle and maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive candidate and employee information
  • Exceptional computer skills with recruiting software programs, internet navigation, Microsoft Office Suite and research skills required
  • You care deeply about taking care of people and approach the role with a proactive, service-oriented mentality

 

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years full-cycle sourcing and recruiting experience for various functions, in a business professional environment
  • LinkedIn recruiter sourcing proficiency
  • Experience working in banking or financial services industry is desired
  • Knowledgeable regarding local, state, and federal laws and regulations as they relate to employment and hiring practices
  • Experience managing candidates through an Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Outstanding telephone interviewing skills
  • Team player with a "Jump in and help" mentality; Passion for working with others as a collaborative team member
